How to Set Up O2 Voicemail

O2 voicemail is usually switched on automatically. To set it up or reset it:

1. Dial 901 from your O2 handset.
2. Follow the voice prompts to create a four-digit PIN.
3. Record a personal greeting or keep the default O2 greeting.

Calls to 901 are free from your O2 phone on all tariffs.

Press and hold 1 on your keypad, or dial 901. New messages are played first. You can replay, save or delete each message using the keypad options. When abroad, call +44 7802 090901 and enter your PIN.

How to Turn Off O2 Voicemail

O2 uses dedicated short codes to manage voicemail:

• Deactivate voicemail: Dial 1760 and press call.
• Reactivate voicemail: Dial 1750 and press call.

Alternatively, dial ##002# to cancel all conditional call forwarding. Once voicemail is off, unanswered calls will simply ring out and you will still receive missed-call notifications.

Changing Your O2 Voicemail Greeting

Dial 901, then navigate to the mailbox settings menu. Select the option to record a new greeting. Speak clearly and keep it concise — aim for 15 to 20 seconds. A professional greeting is essential if you use your O2 number for business.

iPhone users on O2 can use Visual Voicemail via the Phone app. Tap the Voicemail tab to see messages in a list and play them in any order. Android users can access voicemail through the default Phone app or by dialling 901 directly.
