Windows 10 End of Life: What You Need to Know
Microsoft will stop providing free security updates for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. After that date, unsupported PCs are at greater risk from security threats.
Your Options
Upgrade to Windows 11: The recommended path for most users. Check if your hardware meets the requirements.
Extended Security Updates (ESU): Microsoft offers paid updates for Windows 10 for up to three years after end of life. Useful if you can't upgrade immediately.
Replace older devices: Some PCs won't support Windows 11. Planning a refresh can be more cost-effective than ESU in the long run.
Plan Ahead
Don't leave it until the last minute. Migration and testing take time. Start planning at least six months before the deadline.
