Who Hypercloud Contact Centre is for
Any UK team that handles more calls than it can answer one at a time — from a three-person helpdesk to a 200-seat sales floor — and needs to see, measure and improve how those calls are handled.
Inbound customer service

Sales and outbound teams
Click-to-dial from the CRM, campaign lists with preview or progressive dialling, wrap-up codes and AI summaries pushed straight back into the deal record. Dialler features →
IT and support desks
Skills-based routing to first- and second-line groups, transcripts attached to tickets, and reporting on first-call resolution and handle time. What to track →
Multi-site and hybrid teams
Office, home and branch agents in the same queues and the same reports, with supervisors monitoring from anywhere. Remote call control guide →
Queues, IVR and skills-based routing that get callers to the right agent first time
The routing engine is the same one that runs the rest of Hypercloud, so a queue can overflow to a receptionist, a branch or a mobile without a separate system.
Call queues with ACD
Longest-idle, round-robin, ring-all or linear distribution; position and estimated-wait announcements; queue callbacks so callers keep their place without holding; maximum wait and overflow rules. Queues and hunt groups explained →
Multi-level IVR
Auto-attendant menus by department, language or account type, time-of-day and bank-holiday schedules, and recorded compliance announcements before every recorded call. What is IVR? →
Skills and priorities
Tag agents with skills and languages, weight queues by priority so VIP or regulated callers jump the line, and let supervisors log agents in and out of queues from the portal or wallboard.

See every queue, every agent, every second
Browser-based wallboards for the office TV or a supervisor’s second screen, with colour-coded thresholds so a building queue is obvious before the first complaint.
- Live metrics — calls in queue, longest wait, average speed of answer, service level, agents available / on call / in wrap-up, abandoned calls, calls handled today
- Listen, whisper, barge — monitor a call silently, coach the agent without the caller hearing, or join the call when it needs a manager
- Presence app — the desktop phonebook shows who is free, on a call or away, across every site
- Alerts — thresholds on queue depth or wait time notify supervisors by screen, email or SMS
Wallboards are included on the Professional tier. Our guide to call centre wallboard metrics explains which numbers deserve screen space.

Reporting that answers “how did we do?” and “how many people do we need on Monday?”
Every call carries a record: who called, how long they waited, who answered, how long it took, how it ended and what the agent coded it as. Hypercloud turns that into reports your team leaders will actually open.
- Queue reports — offered, answered, abandoned and overflowed calls by hour, day, week and month; service level against an 80/20 or your own target
- Agent reports — calls handled, talk time, average handle time, wrap-up time, availability and outcome codes per agent and per team
- Trend and staffing views — peak-hour heat maps and week-on-week comparisons for rota planning
- Scheduled delivery — daily or weekly reports emailed as PDF or CSV; Advanced adds custom reports and a direct database feed for Power BI or your own warehouse

Every call transcribed, scored and summarised — automatically
Recordings become searchable text within seconds of the call ending. Supervisors stop sampling one call in fifty and start seeing every conversation.
- Real-time transcription with speaker labels and timestamps, stored alongside the recording
- Sentiment analysis scores the tone of each call and alerts a supervisor when a customer sounds frustrated, so intervention happens before the complaint
- Smart summaries break long calls into chapters with topic headings and highlighted action items
- Compliance built in — PII redaction for GDPR, custom vocabulary for your products and jargon, entity and topic detection, keyword search across the whole call library
Transcription is included on Professional; sentiment alerts and CRM call intelligence are part of Advanced. Recordings and transcripts stay in UK AWS regions.

The caller’s record on screen before the agent says hello
Hypercloud connects to the CRM your team already lives in, so the phone system and the customer record stop being two separate jobs.
- Screen pop — contact, account value, open tickets and last order appear as the call rings
- Click-to-dial from any phone number in the CRM, with the call logged automatically
- Automatic call logging — time, duration, agent, outcome code and a link to the recording on every activity
- AI transcript and sentiment sync — the summary and score land on the CRM record, so account managers see the mood of the last call
Native integrations: Salesforce · HubSpot · Microsoft Dynamics 365 · Zoho CRM · Pipedrive. Anything else — estate-agency, legal, healthcare or bespoke systems — connects through the open API and webhooks. Step-by-step: CRM integration with your VoIP phone system.

An outbound dialler that keeps sales teams talking — and compliant
Load a campaign list, choose the dialling mode and let agents work the list with the customer record already open.
- Preview dialling — the agent sees the record, then dials with one click; right for considered, high-value calls
- Progressive dialling — the system dials the next record the moment an agent becomes free; right for volume campaigns
- Callbacks, wrap-up and outcome codes — schedule a callback, code the result and move on; results flow to the CRM and the campaign report
- Compliance reporting — abandoned-call rates and answer-machine detection reported per campaign, so you can evidence compliance with Ofcom’s rules on persistent misuse
You remain responsible for screening lists against the Telephone Preference Service and CTPS registers and for your lawful basis under UK GDPR and PECR; we will show you where those controls sit in the portal during set-up.
Recording that satisfies your compliance team as well as your customers
Every Hypercloud tier records calls. The contact-centre tiers add the controls regulated teams ask for.

Desk phone, softphone, mobile app or Microsoft Teams — one queue
Because the platform is hosted, an agent needs only broadband and a headset. Where they sit stops being an IT decision.
- Yealink desk phones supplied pre-configured — T73/T74 for agents, T77U with expansion module for team leads; see our handsets and headsets buyer’s guide
- Windows and Mac softphone with the presence phonebook, and the mobile app for field or on-call staff
- Microsoft Teams — Teams users take queue calls in Teams while supervisors keep Hypercloud wallboards and reporting; see Teams call queues set-up
- Business continuity — a site outage reroutes calls to home workers or mobiles in minutes, not days
Need connectivity for a new office? Hypercloud pairs with our business broadband on one bill.

Hypercloud Contact Centre vs a standard cloud phone system vs enterprise CCaaS
Most UK teams of 3 to 200 agents are over-served by enterprise contact-centre platforms and under-served by a plain phone system. This is the gap Hypercloud Contact Centre fills.

Live in two to four weeks, with no gap in service
Discovery and call-flow design
We map your teams, opening hours, queues, IVR menus, overflow rules and reporting needs, and agree the CRM and AI configuration. One workshop, usually 90 minutes.
Build and provision
Queues, wallboards and reports are built in the portal; Yealink phones ship pre-configured; softphones and the mobile app are rolled out; the CRM connector is authorised.
Number porting and testing
Your existing numbers port on an agreed date — free, and usually 7–10 working days after order — after we have test-called every queue and overflow path.
Go-live and coaching
We are on the line for the first day, train supervisors on wallboards, listen/whisper/barge and reporting, and your named account manager stays with you afterwards.
The six numbers every wallboard should show
- Service level
- The percentage of calls answered within a target time — the classic target is 80% within 20 seconds (“80/20”). Hypercloud shows it live and reports it by queue.
- Average speed of answer (ASA)
- The mean time callers wait before an agent answers, over the day or the last hour. A leading indicator of customer satisfaction.
- Abandonment rate
- The share of callers who hang up before being answered. Above 5% usually means staffing or routing needs attention.
- Average handle time (AHT)
- Talk time plus hold plus after-call wrap-up per call. Useful for forecasting; dangerous as a target on its own.
- First-call resolution (FCR)
- How often the caller’s issue is resolved without a transfer or callback — tracked through outcome codes and CRM tickets.
- Occupancy
- The proportion of logged-in time an agent spends on calls or wrap-up. Sustained occupancy above about 85% predicts burnout and attrition.

Hypercloud Contact Centre: your questions answered
What is Hypercloud Contact Centre?
Hypercloud Contact Centre is the contact-centre configuration of Hypercloud, the hosted VoIP phone system from Connection Technologies. It runs in UK AWS data centres and adds call queues, IVR, real-time wallboards, supervisor tools, advanced reporting, AI transcription and sentiment analysis, CRM integration and an outbound dialler to the standard cloud phone system. Agents work from desk phones, a laptop softphone, the mobile app or Microsoft Teams, and the whole system is managed from one web portal.
How much does Hypercloud Contact Centre cost?
The contact-centre feature set sits in the Professional tier at £65 per agent per month excl. VAT, which includes all UK landline and mobile calls, wallboards, advanced queuing, advanced reporting, AI call transcription, CRM integration, the outbound dialler and a 10-minute support SLA. Smaller teams that only need queues and call recording can start on Standard at £38 per agent per month. The Advanced tier — custom features built to your requirements, a platform tailored to suit your business needs, custom reporting, sentiment alerts and API integration — is priced per project. Desk phones and headsets are bought or rented separately.
Can a hosted VoIP system really work as a call centre or contact centre solution?
Yes. Features that once needed a dedicated on-premise ACD — call queues with position announcements, skills-based routing, multi-level IVR, wallboards, listen/whisper/barge supervision, call recording, agent reporting and CRM screen pops — are now standard on hosted platforms such as Hypercloud. The cloud model also removes the hardware, lets agents work from any location and lets you add or remove seats month by month for seasonal demand.
What reporting does Hypercloud Contact Centre provide?
Two layers. Real-time wallboards show calls in queue, longest wait, agents available, on call or in wrap-up, service level and abandoned calls, on a wall screen or in a browser. Historical reports cover call volumes by hour, day and week, average speed of answer, service level against an 80/20 or custom target, abandonment rate, average handle time, wrap-up codes and per-agent performance, and can be scheduled to email. The Advanced tier adds custom reports and a direct database feed for your own BI tools.
How does the AI transcription and analytics work?
Every recorded call can be transcribed in real time using speech-recognition models, with speaker labels and timestamps, so the transcript sits next to the recording in the portal. AI then scores the sentiment of each call, flags frustrated customers to supervisors, produces a summary and chapter headings with action items, redacts personal data (PII) for GDPR, learns your industry vocabulary and lets you search every call by keyword or topic. Transcription is included on Professional; sentiment alerts and call intelligence are part of Advanced.
Which CRMs does Hypercloud integrate with?
Native integrations exist for Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM and Pipedrive. The integration gives agents a screen pop of the caller record before they answer, click-to-dial from any CRM contact, automatic logging of every call with time, duration and outcome, and the AI transcript and sentiment score attached to the CRM record. Any other system — estate-agency, legal, healthcare or bespoke platforms — can be connected through the open API and webhooks.
Does Hypercloud include an outbound dialler?
Yes. Outbound teams get click-to-dial from the CRM or desktop app, campaign lists with preview dialling (the agent sees the record, then dials) or progressive dialling (the system dials the next record as soon as an agent is free), callback scheduling, wrap-up and outcome codes, and campaign reporting including abandoned-call rates so you can evidence compliance with Ofcom’s rules on persistent misuse. You remain responsible for screening lists against the TPS and CTPS registers.
Can agents work from home or across several sites?
Yes. Because the platform is cloud-hosted, an agent only needs a broadband connection and a headset. Home workers use the Windows/Mac softphone or the mobile app, office staff use Yealink desk phones, and everyone appears in the same queues, wallboards and reports regardless of location. Supervisors can monitor, whisper and barge on remote agents exactly as they would in the office.
Is call recording GDPR and PCI DSS compliant?
Recording is a standard feature and recordings are stored encrypted in UK AWS data centres with configurable retention. For GDPR you need a lawful basis and a recording announcement, which the IVR plays automatically. For card payments, recording can be paused and resumed so card numbers are never captured, and AI PII redaction removes personal data from transcripts. Our help centre has detailed guides on GDPR and PCI DSS call recording.
How long does it take to set up?
A typical 10 to 50 seat contact centre is live in two to four weeks. We design the call flows, queues and IVR with you in week one, provision handsets and softphones and configure the CRM integration and AI features in week two, and port your existing numbers on an agreed date so there is no downtime. Number porting itself takes 7 to 10 working days for most UK numbers, which usually sets the timeline.
Does it work with Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Hypercloud can deliver PSTN calling into Microsoft Teams so agents who live in Teams take queue calls there, while supervisors keep the Hypercloud wallboards, recording and reporting. Many customers mix Teams users with desk-phone and softphone agents in the same queues.
How does Hypercloud compare with enterprise contact-centre platforms such as Genesys, Five9 or NICE?
Enterprise CCaaS platforms add omnichannel routing for email, chat and social media, workforce management and very deep customisation, typically at £70 to £180 per agent per month plus implementation fees. Hypercloud Contact Centre is built for voice-led UK teams of roughly 3 to 200 agents who want queues, wallboards, reporting, AI transcription, CRM integration and a dialler at £65 per agent, on the same platform as the rest of the business’s phones, with a named UK account manager rather than a ticket queue. Where a team needs more, the Advanced tier adds custom features and a platform tailored to the business without enterprise implementation fees.
