Once issued, a PAC code is valid for 30 days. If you do not use it within this 30-day window, it will expire and you will need to request a new one.
There is no limit to how many times you can request a PAC code, and it is always free. Here are some important things to know about PAC code validity:
- The 30-day window gives you time — you do not need to rush your decision. Use this time to compare deals and find the right provider.
- Your contract continues — requesting a PAC code does not cancel your contract. Your existing service continues until the PAC is actually used.
- No penalty for expiry — if your PAC expires, nothing happens. Your contract continues as normal and you can request a new PAC whenever you are ready.
- One PAC per number — each mobile number requires its own PAC code for porting.
