TalkTalk Super Router — login, gateway address and status lights
Open a browser on a device connected to your TalkTalk Super Router and go to 192.168.1.1.
The password is unique to your unit and printed on it — there is no universal default.
Before you reset anything: a lost admin password on this model cannot be recovered. A factory reset is the only way back in and it erases the entire configuration.
The TalkTalk Super Router is a broadband hub supplied by an internet provider from TalkTalk, in UK use Copper and part-fibre era. This page covers the four things people actually come looking for: its settings address, how its login works, what its lights mean and how to reset it safely.
What is the TalkTalk Super Router gateway address?
The TalkTalk Super Router settings page is at 192.168.1.1. Type that into the address bar of a browser — not into a search box, which will just search for the number instead of opening the page.
Your device has to be connected to the TalkTalk Super Router itself for this to work — over its Wi-Fi or by cable. On mobile data, or connected to a different network, the address goes nowhere.
TalkTalk gives the same address under separate headings for the D-Link 3782 and the Huawei HG633 and HG635, so it holds across all three Super Router variants.
What is the default username and password for the TalkTalk Super Router?

There is no default password for the TalkTalk Super Router that we could publish, because every unit has a different one.
Where to find yours. On the sticker on the back of the Super Router.
TalkTalk contradicts itself here, and we would rather say so than pick a side quietly. Its page about Wi-Fi and admin passwords tells you to read the username and password off the sticker on the back, which means the password is specific to your unit. A different TalkTalk page, about checking your router setup, tells Huawei HG635 owners to type "admin" in both fields. Because the sticker instruction appears on the page that exists specifically to answer this question, that is the one we follow, and we publish no password. If the sticker is missing or worn, TalkTalk says the fallback is the word "Admin".
If a website offers you a single password that works on every TalkTalk Super Router, it is wrong. Those lists copy a per-device password from one unit and republish it as though it were universal.
What do the lights on the TalkTalk Super Router mean?
Here is what each light on the TalkTalk Super Router is telling you, and what to do about it.

How do you reset a TalkTalk Super Router?
What you lose. Wipes every setting you have changed. Your Wi-Fi name and password revert to the printed defaults, so every device has to be reconnected, and if you had switched the connection mode to fibre manually you will need to do that again.
- Push a pin or straightened paperclip into the reset pinhole until you feel a click.
- Hold it for 30 seconds.
- Release, and give the unit a few minutes to restart before trying to connect.
TalkTalk publishes the 30-second hold and the pinhole method on a page that covers its routers generally and names the Super Router in its troubleshooting notes, but it says the button is "usually on the back or side" rather than pinning down the location on this model.
A reboot is not a reset. A reboot is not a reset. Switch the router off at the side, wait about 30 seconds and switch it back on. Every setting survives, and the lights should return to green within a couple of minutes.
What if you cannot get into the TalkTalk Super Router at all?
A lost password cannot be recovered on this model. There is no backdoor, no master password and no way for the manufacturer to retrieve it.
TalkTalk publishes no way back into a Super Router whose admin password has been changed and forgotten. A factory reset is the only documented route.
That leaves two options, in this order: find whoever set the unit up and ask them, or factory reset it and rebuild the configuration from scratch. Restoring a configuration backup does not help, because the backup contains the same password you do not know.
