TP-Link routers: logins, addresses and status lights
TP-Link's range splits into two halves that behave nothing alike, and knowing which half you are holding answers most questions about it. Archer routers have a settings page in a browser, reached at tplinkwifi.net, or tplinkmodem.net on the DSL models. Deco mesh systems have no meaningful web interface at all: they sit on 192.168.68.1, are set up from the Deco app, and are controlled by whichever TP-Link ID commissioned them. What the two halves share is that neither ships with a default admin password. Current TP-Link equipment asks you to create one at first login, which is why the admin / admin so widely quoted for these will not get you in.
TP-Link uses 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.68.1 depending on the model, so check yours below.
