How to Set Up Call Divert on iPhone
How Call Forwarding Works
Call forwarding (also called call diverting) redirects incoming calls from your mobile to another number — a landline, another mobile, or a VoIP system. This ensures you never miss important calls, even when you are away from your phone.
Types of Call Forwarding
- Unconditional (all calls) — every call is forwarded immediately, your phone does not ring.
- When busy — calls forward only when you are already on another call.
- When unanswered — calls forward after a set number of rings.
- When unreachable — calls forward when your phone is off or out of signal.
Call Forwarding Codes
| Action | Code |
|---|---|
| Forward all calls | **21*[number]# |
| Forward when busy | **67*[number]# |
| Forward when unanswered | **61*[number]# |
| Forward when unreachable | **62*[number]# |
| Cancel all forwards | ##002# |
Business Call Forwarding
For businesses, call forwarding is essential for ensuring customer calls are always answered. A hosted VoIP system offers much more sophisticated routing — time-based rules, ring groups, hunt groups and auto attendant — without the limitations of basic mobile call divert.
