How to Listen to Voicemail on Your VoIP System

Listening to voicemail on a hosted VoIP system is straightforward. Most providers offer several ways to access your messages.

From Your VoIP Phone

Press the voicemail button (often a dedicated key or *86) or dial your voicemail access number. Enter your PIN if prompted, then follow the voice prompts to play, skip, or delete messages.

From the Softphone or Web Portal

Open your VoIP app or web client and look for the voicemail or messages section. You can usually play messages directly, see a transcript, and manage them from one place.

Voicemail-to-Email

If voicemail-to-email is enabled, new messages are sent as audio attachments to your inbox. You can listen on any device without logging into the phone system.

Tips

  • Set up a memorable PIN and change it regularly.
  • Check messages promptly to avoid a full mailbox.
  • Enable email notifications so you never miss an important call.
