The Tesco Mobile voicemail number is 905 when dialling from your Tesco Mobile handset. Tesco Mobile runs on the O2 network but has its own voicemail service — O2's 901 code will not work on a Tesco SIM. On pay monthly plans, calls to 905 come out of your minutes allowance (15p/minute once the allowance is used); on pay-as-you-go, it costs 15p/minute.

How to Set Up Tesco Mobile Voicemail

1. Dial 905 from your Tesco Mobile phone and press call.
2. On first use you will be asked to change your voicemail PIN from the default of 8705. Choose any PIN between 4 and 10 digits.
3. Follow the prompts to record a personal greeting.

If you ever forget your new PIN, call 4455 free from your Tesco Mobile phone to reset it.

How to Listen to Tesco Mobile Voicemail

Dial 905 and follow the prompts — new messages play first. To check messages from a different phone: ring your own Tesco Mobile number, interrupt the greeting by pressing *, then enter your PIN followed by the # key.

How to Change Your Tesco Mobile Greeting or PIN

Dial 905 and press * to reach the mailbox menu, then press 4 for settings. From there you can re-record your greeting or change your PIN (press 4, then 1).

How to Turn Off Tesco Mobile Voicemail

Tesco Mobile has free dedicated quick-dial codes for this — easier than divert codes:

• Turn voicemail off: dial 2915 (free).
• Turn voicemail back on: dial 2905 (free).

• Pay monthly: listening to voicemail on 905 comes out of your minutes; 15p/minute once your allowance runs out.
• Pay as you go: 15p/minute.
• Abroad (Home From Home destinations): listening comes out of your allowance; 55p/minute beyond it.
• Abroad (elsewhere): charged as a call back to the UK at your destination's roaming rate. Receiving messages is always free.

Travelling? Turning voicemail off with 2915 before you fly avoids surprise roaming charges entirely.
