A pro-rata fee is a partial month charge that covers the period from when your mobile contract was first activated through to the start of your regular billing cycle.
Mobile networks bill on fixed dates each month. If your contract starts part-way through a billing period, you are charged a proportional amount for those remaining days. This is the pro-rata fee.
Example: If your monthly cost is £30 and your contract starts 10 days before the billing cycle resets, your pro-rata fee would be approximately £10 (10/30 of the monthly cost).
Pro-rata fees are a one-off charge on your first bill only. From the second bill onwards, you will pay your standard agreed monthly amount. Will this be on every bill?
