Talkmobile APN Settings
Quick Answer
The Talkmobile APN is talkmobile.co.uk. You should not normally need to enter it — Talkmobile says data works as soon as the SIM goes in. Note that Talkmobile no longer publishes a complete set of APN fields, so the username, password and MMS values here come from its own older documentation.
This page is more cautious than our other APN guides, for a reason worth stating plainly. Talkmobile used to publish a full APN table and no longer does — the only value on a live Talkmobile page today is the APN itself. Everything else below comes from Talkmobile’s own documentation as it stood some years ago.
We could have filled the gaps from one of the APN listing sites and the table would have looked as authoritative as any other. But those sites are exactly where wrong values circulate, and a wrong APN means no mobile data at all. So the values below are labelled by how well supported they are, and you can judge accordingly.

Two oddities in that older set. The only MMSC Talkmobile ever published contains payg even in instructions addressed to contract customers, which is unresolved. And the MMS proxy was written as 212.183.137.012 with a leading zero; enter it as 212.183.137.12, since some devices interpret a leading zero as octal and reach the wrong address.

Talkmobile’s position is that no manual setup should be needed: insert the SIM and data works. Where it does not, the fastest route to correct settings is Talkmobile itself — 5888 free from a Talkmobile phone, 0333 304 8064 from another UK phone, or +44 333 304 8064 from abroad. Because the published documentation is now so thin, this is the one network in this set where contacting the operator genuinely beats working from a table.
Entering the Settings Manually
On Android, go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Access Point Names, add a profile with talkmobile.co.uk as the APN, save it and then select it. On iPhone the equivalent is Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network. If you are on pay as you go and it does not take, try payg.talkmobile.co.uk instead. Talkmobile Runs on Vodafone
Talkmobile calls Vodafone its network partner, and VodafoneThree lists Talkmobile among its brands after the June 2025 merger. That is why the wap / wap credentials above are plausible, since Vodafone uses the same pair. It does not make the APNs interchangeable: Vodafone’s own wap.vodafone.co.uk will not work on a Talkmobile SIM. See Vodafone APN settings for those.
