EE is the network most UK businesses ask us about first, and for good reason: it has led independent speed and reliability testing for years and was first to roll out standalone 5G at scale. It is also, on list price, the most expensive of the four networks for unlimited data. This guide sets out exactly what EE sells to small businesses in 2026 — plan names, published prices, what is and isn’t included, roaming rules, price rises and support tiers — so you can compare a quote line for line.

EE’s business plan families explained

EE sells four plan families in its small-business range (the published price guide sold through business.ee.co.uk; larger fleets are quoted on bespoke terms):

• Business No Frills — handset plans only, 1GB of data, unlimited UK and Republic of Ireland calls and texts. The cheapest way to put a phone on a contract for a light user.
• Business Essential — the core range for SIM-only, handset and mobile broadband. Data tiers from a calls-and-texts-only SIM up to unlimited. Includes Stay Connected Data on capped tiers (see below) and Network Boost on the unlimited tier.
• Business All Rounder — the same data tiers as Essential plus one Inclusive Extra you can swap every 30 days: Microsoft 365 Personal, Roam Abroad (use your allowance in Europe and seven further destinations) or 500 minutes to call Europe from the UK.
• Business Full Works — unlimited-data handset plans. The iPhone version bundles Apple One (Apple Music, Apple TV+, 50GB iCloud+) plus one Inclusive Extra; the Android version gives three Inclusive Extras. Network Boost is included.

All EE business plans are 5G-enabled and, on new plans sold from 13 May 2026, include 5G+, EE’s name for 5G standalone. EE says 5G+ covers over 70% of the UK population with a target of 99% by 2030. You may need a new SIM or eSIM to use it.

EE business SIM-only plans and prices (September 2026)

Published monthly prices, ex VAT, from EE’s Price Guide for Small Business v20.9. Prices are per connection; promotional prices on the unlimited tiers appear periodically, so treat these as the standard list and ask for a dated quote.

Three things to read across from that table:

• The step from 100GB to unlimited on Essential is £6 a month. Most office-based users never get near 100GB, so unlimited is worth paying for only on genuinely heavy lines. Our unlimited business SIM comparison covers when it pays.
• The 250MB and 500MB tiers come with 250 or 500 texts and minutes, not unlimited. They suit alarm panels, tablets and rarely used spare phones, not staff.
• Roam Abroad is the Inclusive Extra most travelling teams pick on All Rounder. For £5 more than Essential you replace the £2.26 daily EU charge with inclusive roaming — cheaper after three days abroad in a month.

EE business handset plans

Handset plans pair an airtime plan with a device instalment over 24, 30 or 36 months. EE publishes the airtime element as a range because the device portion depends on the phone. Ex VAT, per month:

The 36-month versions shave a few pounds a month off the same plans but lock you into a device for three years. Existing EE small-business customers with five or fewer connections who are three months out of contract are periodically offered 10% off the device element of a new 24- or 36-month handset plan by SMS.

What every EE business plan includes

• Unlimited UK and Republic of Ireland calls and texts on every tier from 1GB upwards.
• Tethering, WiFi on the London Underground, itemised online billing and voicemail on all single-user plans, plus WiFi Calling on compatible devices.
• Stay Connected Data on capped Essential and All Rounder tiers: when your allowance runs out you keep a 0.5Mbps connection for the rest of the month instead of being cut off or charged. Unlimited plans don’t need it and Full Works doesn’t include it.
• Network Boost on unlimited Essential, All Rounder and Full Works plans: EE prioritises your data in busy locations. It doesn’t prioritise calls or texts and applies in selected locations.
• UK-based business customer service, a faulty-phone replacement service, free in-store set-up and access to EE’s small-business community.
• A £45 monthly cap on EU roaming data spend per user by default, which the account holder can lift.

Roaming on EE business plans: what it actually costs

This is where EE business plans differ most from the consumer assumption that “EU roaming is free”:

• Europe Zone: unless your plan has a roaming Inclusive Extra or add-on, EE charges £2.26 a day (ex VAT) to use your allowance in the EU/EEA. Business Connect (shared-data) plans are exempt.
• Roam Abroad: available as the Inclusive Extra on All Rounder and Full Works, or as a recurring Roam Abroad Passport at £11.90 a month on other plans. It covers the Europe Zone plus seven further destinations.
• Fair use while roaming in Europe: plans over 50GB can use 25GB abroad; over 60GB, 30GB; over 100GB and unlimited, 60GB per month. Unlimited plans are also limited to three months of continuous roaming.
• Outside Europe: a Business Passport costs £9.32 a day or £46.61 a month (1GB a day or 10GB a month with unlimited calls and texts); the wider World Passport is £11.64 a day or £69.93 a month.

For a team that travels in Europe most months, the All Rounder plan with Roam Abroad selected is almost always cheaper than Essential plus daily charges. Our business data roaming guide works through the arithmetic.

Shared data: EE Business Connect

Business Connect is EE’s shared-data proposition. Instead of a per-SIM allowance, you buy a data pool at account level and every connection draws from it, with unlimited UK and EU minutes and texts for everyone. Notable terms:

• At least one connection carries a 24- or 36-month minimum term, and each connection has its own term.
• Business Connect line rental, shared-data charges and add-ons are excluded from EE’s annual price increases — unusual, and worth knowing if you are budgeting a three-year fleet.
• Business Connect plans are not subject to the EU roaming fair-use policy and don’t attract the £2.26 daily charge.
• Devices bought from EE on Business Connect get Extended Warranty, free next-day replacement and an annual check-up in month 12.

Pricing is quoted rather than published. For a mixed team where a few users burn most of the data, a pool is often cheaper than putting everyone on 100GB or unlimited. Ask us to model both against your last three bills.

Security and device management add-ons

• Unified Endpoint Management (Ivanti Secure UEM): £3.50 a month per device or £5 per user (up to five devices), 12-month minimum. Ivanti Threat Defence is the same price again as an add-on.
• Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee-powered): £4.99 a month for up to five desktops or laptops and unlimited mobiles, one licence per account, 30-day minimum.
• Scam Guard: a chargeable add-on that screens scam calls and texts on pay-monthly and SIM-only plans.

EE business support tiers

Support scales with account size and is included at no charge:

• Business Service (1–4 connections): UK-based business customer service team, faulty-phone replacement, in-store set-up and trade-in.
• Business Plus (5–9 connections): everything above plus free Fast Phone Replacement.
• Business First (10+ connections): a named Business Account Manager for the account holder and one nominated colleague, who owns technical and billing issues through to closure, plus free next-day UK delivery on online and telesales orders placed by 5pm.

Buying through an authorised partner such as Connection Technologies adds a second layer: we handle porting, provisioning, cap set-up and renewals, and we stay network-neutral if EE stops being the right answer at one of your sites.

Contract terms and annual price rises

• SIM-only terms: 1-month rolling, 12 or 24 months. Handset terms: 24, 30 or 36 months.
• Plans taken since 2 September 2024: the monthly plan price rises by a fixed pounds-and-pence amount each 31 March, stated in your contract summary before you sign; out-of-bundle charges rise by 5% on the same date. On current small-business SIM-only summaries the fixed amount is £2.08 a month ex VAT — check yours, because it applies from the first March after you sign.
• Legacy plans (before 2 September 2024): CPI published in January plus 3.9%, applied on or after 31 March.
• Ofcom’s January 2025 ban on inflation-linked rises in new contracts protects consumers; business contracts can still carry percentage terms, which is why EE’s move to fixed amounts matters when you compare networks. Our spend cap guide covers the other bill-control tools.
• Existing BT Business Broadband customers with three months or more left on that contract can take 10% off a new 24-month Essential or All Rounder plan (up to five mobile subscriptions per broadband line) under EE’s BT Best of Both offer.

EE vs Vodafone, O2 and Three for business (unlimited SIM-only, 24 months, ex VAT)

EE’s premium buys network performance and Network Boost prioritisation; it does not buy inclusive roaming. If your team travels, price EE All Rounder (£30 with Roam Abroad) against Vodafone Unlimited Plus and Three’s Go Roam plan rather than the £25 headline. Who EE business plans suit — and who should look elsewhere

Choose EE if your people work in the field or on the move and a dropped call costs you money; you want 5G+ now rather than in 2028; you run mixed-usage teams that would benefit from Business Connect’s pooled data and price-rise exemption; or you are already a BT Business Broadband customer and can stack the 10% discount.

Look elsewhere if the deciding factor is the lowest unlimited price (O2’s Classic unlimited plan is £7.50 a month cheaper on list, and Three’s current Go Roam offer undercuts EE by nearly £6); your team spends a lot of time in Europe and you don’t want to manage add-ons (Three’s Go Roam plan and Vodafone Plus bundle it); or you only need a few gigabytes per user, where the price gap to Three’s 3GB and 25GB plans is widest.

How to get the best EE business deal

1. Pull three months of bills and put each line in a data band. Most teams end up with a mix of 10GB, 50GB and one or two unlimited lines, not everyone on the same tier.
2. Decide roaming per line. Only the travellers need All Rounder with Roam Abroad; everyone else stays on Essential.
3. Ask for the price-rise figure in writing and add it to years two and three before comparing with another network’s quote.
