giffgaff APN Settings

giffgaff runs on the O2 network but uses its own APN settings. If your mobile data or MMS isn't working on giffgaff, you'll need to make sure the correct giffgaff APN settings are configured on your phone.

How to Enter giffgaff APN Settings on Android

1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
2. Tap Connections (Samsung) or Network & Internet (Pixel/stock Android).
3. Tap Mobile Networks.
4. Tap Access Point Names.
5. Tap the + icon to add a new APN.
6. Enter the giffgaff settings from the table above. Remember the password field should be left blank.
7. Tap the three-dot menu and select Save.
8. Select the new giffgaff APN from the list.
9. Restart your phone to apply the changes.

How to Enter giffgaff APN Settings on iPhone

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Mobile Data (or Cellular).
3. Tap Mobile Data Network.
4. Under Mobile Data, enter:
   APN: giffgaff.com
   Username: giffgaff
   Password: (leave blank)
5. Scroll down to MMS and enter:
   MMSC: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
   MMS Proxy: 82.132.254.1:8080
6. Go back — settings save automatically on iPhone.
7. Toggle Airplane Mode on and off, or restart your phone.

Note: giffgaff iPhones usually receive APN settings automatically when you activate your SIM. If the Mobile Data Network option is hidden, try updating your carrier settings at Settings > General > About.

Common giffgaff Issues

Because giffgaff uses the O2 network, your phone may sometimes default to O2 APN settings instead. If your data isn't working, double-check that the APN is set to giffgaff.com — not mobile.o2.co.uk. Also ensure you have an active giffgaff goodybag with data included.
