Android-specific fixes

  1. Clear “Mobile Network” cache. Settings → Apps → Show System → Mobile Network → Storage → Clear Cache. Often resolves stuck connection state.
  2. Check VPN. A misconfigured VPN routes traffic to a dead endpoint. Disconnect any VPN, retry data, then reconnect.
  3. Update carrier services. Open Play Store → search “Carrier Services” → Update. Critical for VoLTE, VoWiFi and some MVNO data.
  4. Power-off + remove SIM. Some Samsung models need the SIM fully removed during a power cycle to re-init the radio firmware.

Still no mobile data — when to escalate

Why is my mobile data not working when I have signal?
Signal bars only confirm voice / SMS registration. Data registration is a separate process. The most common causes when signal is fine but data fails are: data toggle off, wrong APN, hit spend cap or data limit, or being stuck in a single network mode (e.g. 5G only) with weak data carrier signal.
Why is my data not working after switching networks (porting)?
Two things to check: APN settings (each network needs its own APN values — see our APN guide), and porting completion. Voice and SMS often activate before data; full data provisioning can take 24 hours after the port completes.
How do I fix mobile data on Voxi?
Voxi APN is pp.vodafone.co.uk. Check your free-social allowance hasn’t masked the issue — load a non-social website to test real data. If still no data, restart the phone and toggle aeroplane mode.
Will resetting network settings delete my data or apps?
No. It only resets Wi-Fi networks (you’ll need to re-enter passwords), Bluetooth pairings and mobile data settings including APN. All other data, photos and apps are untouched.
